One day. One qualification. One certificate that opens the door to your North Carolina concealed handgun permit.
Our state-approved CCH course covers everything North Carolina requires: firearms law, use of force, safe handling and a live-fire qualification on our indoor range. Pass it, and you leave with the certificate the sheriff asks for. We teach it in Youngsville, minutes from Wake Forest and about 25 minutes from downtown Raleigh. The $100 class runs one full day, about 8 AM to 6 PM, and you’ll find the full requirements, what’s included and the upcoming class calendar below.
Is This Class Right for You?
Yes, if you’ve shot a handgun before, can load and unload it confidently, and want your permit.
Not yet, if you’ve never fired a handgun. Spend a few hours in Handgun 101 first. You’ll walk into the qualification relaxed instead of nervous, and that shows on the target.
Prefer to split the material across more than one day? See our 2-day concealed carry course. No gun of your own? Rentals are available for class.
How the Day Runs

Morning: the law. We cover North Carolina’s concealed carry statutes, where you can and can’t carry, when deadly force is legally justified, and what to say if an officer stops you. Expect real scenarios, not slides read aloud.
Midday: safe handling. Storage, transport, holstering, and how to carry around children without risk.
Afternoon: live fire. You shoot the state qualification course on our indoor lanes. Your instructor coaches you through it. Most students who meet the skill prerequisite pass comfortably.
After You Pass

Your certificate is step one. Next you apply to the sheriff in your county of residence. Wake County residents can follow our step-by-step Wake County permit guide, which covers the $90 fee, fingerprinting and the 45-day decision window. Franklin County residents apply to the Franklin County Sheriff.
Then keep training. A permit proves you met the minimum. Our Handgun 201 and red dot handgun course build the skills you’ll actually lean on.
